Dreamcatchers are a fascinating and beautiful symbol of inspiration, spells and dreams. Drawing dreamcatchers is a rewarding and creative experience that can bring you a little closer to the mysteries of the dreams and spells. Here’s how to draw your own dreamcatcher and make your own symbol of power and protection.

Start with a circle. The size of the circle is up to you; the circle is a symbol of eternity, completion, and wholeness. The dreamcatcher’s center is where your spell comes together. Draw the circle with one continuous line or several shorter lines to make it a spiral.

With the center of your dreamcatcher complete, draw in the outside lines radiating out from the center. These lines are the webs of your spell – they catch and deflect the negative energy and thoughts. Make the webs as wispy or as bold as you like.

Now it’s time to draw the Droplet of Protection. This droplet is drawn in the lower right hand corner of the dreamcatcher and represents the fluid dreams, wishes and fantasies that your dream catches for you. It’s also believed to be the place where the protective energies are stored.
