Drawing a dog does not have to be intimidating or intimidating. It can be a calming and fun activity. With a few simple steps, you can create the perfect pooch you’ve always wanted. So grab your pencils, paper and breathe deeply, and let’s get started!

The key is to start with basic shapes. You don’t need fancy details. Start by sketching an oval for the head, two circles for the eyes and two more circles for the nose and mouth. Once you have those shapes in place, sketch two lines to form the neck and body. Then draw four small circles for the paws, two lines for the tail and two triangles for the ears.

After you have the basic outline of your pup, you can add in details like fur and whiskers. Create a lot of light and dark patches to give your pup an extra natural look. You can also add shading and color to make your pup come alive.

Textures can give your pup personality. Try using a lot of curved lines to create the feeling of soft fur. Scratching patterns can also add an extra bit of character to your pup’s coat.
