Do you want to know how to draw a baby chick? Drawing a baby chick may seem daunting at first, but with some practice and dedication you can create a beautiful and unique artwork! Here’s what you’ll need to get started: pencil, eraser, paper, and imagination.

Start by sketching the outline of your baby chick. Use a pencil to loosely draw the shape of the chick’s body, wings, head, and feet. Don’t worry about making it perfect, as long as all the parts of the body look balanced you can always adjust later. Next, focus on the details such as the feathers, eyes, and beak. Accentuate the facial features by adding in bigger eyes, a rounded beak, and some cute little cheek puffles.

Break out the eraser for this step, as you will need to erase any lines that don’t belong. Clean up the outlines and refine the nose, feathers and wings, and toes to give the chick more depth and definition. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even add a few details like polka dots or paws.

Now it’s time to start adding color! You can use any shade of pastel yellow or brown for a classic look, or get creative with your favorite shades. If you’re using a pencil, try layering over the same area a few different times for a richer look. Add some shading to give the baby chick definition and add dimension.
