I got a much later start than some others who pursued their songwriting passion right out of high school. But, as it turned out, it didn’t really matter WHEN I started.

I think the key to learning songwriting is to have a desire to write songs, and to be willing to put in the time and effort to learn. There are no shortcuts – you need to learn the craft of songwriting, and the best way to do that is to write lots of songs.
