Sketching A Magical Beagle: A Step by Step Tutorial
It can be difficult to try your hand at sketching a beagle with the complex fur and facial features, but it’s totally achievable with the right steps and techniques. Step 1: Identify the Major Shapes of a Beagle
The best place to begin sketching your beagle is by identifying the major shapes that compose them. In this case, beagles have round faces, triangular snouts, and oval bodies. Mark these shapes gently but firmly in your sketchbook, so you can build on them in the following steps.
Step 2: Nail the Proportions with Inexact Measurements
Working with inexact measurements is the key to creating an accurate beagle sketch. Professional illustrators use something called ‘sighting’, which accounts for the size of objects in relation to each other.
