Learn How to Draw a Cat Face Easy in This Fun Tutorial!
Making something creative always feels so satisfying! Drawing a cute cat face is no different. You can learn to do it yourself with this easy-to-follow step-by-step tutorial. No fancy tools required – just a simple pen and paper. Plus, it can be finished in no time flat!
Step 1: Get a Pen and Paper
Before you get started, you’ll need to grab a pen or pencil and a blank piece of paper. Don’t worry if you aren’t a great artist – even regular doodles can look cute when you’re drawing a cat face!
Step 2: Draw Two Circles
The first step is to draw two circles on your paper. The circles don’t need to be perfect – just do your best. These two circles will form the shape of the cat’s head.
Step 3: Draw the Ears
Now it’s time to add the ears. Draw two triangle shapes on either side of the circles – these will be the ears. Make sure to make them different sizes if you want a realistic looking cat face.
Step 4: Add the Eyes
The eyes are the most important part of the cat face so take your time with this step. Draw two circular shapes on either side of the head and make sure to leave some space between them. Then add two smaller circles inside the larger circles to make the eyes.
Step 5: Draw the Nose and Mouth
Now it’s time to draw the features of the face. Start by drawing the nose in the center of the face. Then draw two curved lines underneath it to create the mouth.
Step 6: Add the Whiskers
The whiskers can be tricky so take your time. Draw three or four thin lines on either side of the nose and make sure they are evenly spaced.
Step 7: Add Color
The last step is to add color if you’d like. You can use pretty much any medium – from markers to paint to colored pencils. Let your creative juices flow and have fun!
Step 8: Draw a Tail
This step is entirely optional, but if you’d like to give your cat face an even cuter look, why not draw a tail? Draw a small curved line from the back of the head down the page.
Nicely Done!
Now you know how to draw a cat face! Give yourself a pat on the back and show off your work to your friends and family. What other animals do you want to draw? Have fun!
