How To Draw A Easy Donkey

Drawing a donkey can look daunting, but, with a few creative tricks, you can have the perfect picture in no time! Start with a pencil and paper and be sure to use light strokes for all lines until your masterpiece is complete.

1. Draw an Oval

Draw an oval shape to form the body of your donkey. Make sure that it is slightly wider at the bottom than at the top. Add two circles at the two opposite corners for the ears.

2. Shade the Body

Take your pencil and draw a few curved lines to form the fur of your donkey. Fill in the fur with small dots, varying their shapes and size.

3. Add Details to the Face

Draw two horse-like eyes and a small muzzle just below the ears. Shade in your donkey’s nose with a few dots and draw an upper lip.

4. Add the Tail and the Legs

Draw a long triangle at the back of your donkey for the tail and then add four small stubby legs. Shade in the stomach and the inside of the ears to add depth and realism to your drawing.

5. Add the Final Touches

Finish off your artwork with a few shading and stroke details. You can also draw a mane by lightly sketching curved lines or just draw a round circle for the nostril. And voila! You have a beautifully drawn donkey with just a few strokes of a pencil.
