How to Draw an Easy Goat
For aspiring artists out there, learning to draw a goat can seem daunting. It doesn’t have to be a struggle, though. With a few simple steps, you’ll be sketching up goats in no time!
Start With the Head
Start out by sketching the head. Draw a curved line for part of the forehead and a small oval for the muzzle. You can add some detail to the forehead by drawing two curved lines one under the other. Additionally, you can make the muzzle look more goat-like by adding two triangles at the bottom.
Add the Ears
Goats have big, floppy ears, so make sure they don’t look too stiff. Draw two long ovals, one curving a bit like a C at the top. Connect it to the forehead and you’ve got yourself some ear-tips!
Drawing the Body
Now that you’ve sketched out the head, let’s move on to the body. Draw two circles connected at the bottom. Then, add two smaller circles for the legs. You can also sketch out the fur texture on the body by adding small curved lines all over.
The Finishing Touches
Finally, give your goat some horns. Draw two curved lines and connect them at the ends. To make them look more three-dimensional, you can add a few lines through them. Finish it up with a tuft of hair at the top of the head and a cute tail at the back.
Practice, Practice, Practice!
Goats can be tricky to draw, but you don’t have to be an expert to get it right. Just keep practicing, and soon you’ll be able to draw them from memory. Why not try drawing different types of goats in different poses? It’s a great way to hone your skills.
