Step By Step Guide on How To Draw a Lemon
Drawing a lemon can be a daunting task, especially when you don’t quite know how to do it. But no need to worry, with a few simple tips and tricks, you can easily draw a lemon and make it look as realistic as a real one too. Here’s a step by step guide on how to draw a lemon;
Step 1: Preparing the Sketch
The first step of drawing any shape is to sketch out the basic shape. A lemon is an oval-shaped fruit with a pointed tip at the top. Start by sketching a thick oval shape with a pencil like so. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just something that resembles a lemon. Don’t worry about the details, just get the basic shape down and we’ll add the details later.
Step 2: Shading and Details
Now that we have the basic shape down it’s time to add some details. Start by adding short parallel lines to the lemon to give it a more 3D look. Don’t forget to add some shading too. Add some darker shades at the bottom half of the lemon to make it look more lifelike. Add some thick and thin lines to the top to give it more character. Now it looks like a more realistic lemon.
Step 3: Color
Now that we have the lemon drawn, it’s time to color it. Use a yellow color to add a bit of color to the lemon. Don’t forget to add some specks here and there to give the lemon a bit of texture. To add more realism, add some shadows and highlights. Use a medium yellow to give it a more realistic look.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
Now that we have the lemon looking pretty good, it’s time to add some final touches. Outline the lemon with a darker shade of yellow. This will give the lemon a bit more definition and make it look even more lifelike. Add some darker shades of yellow on the sides of the lemon for more depth. Now your lemon is all finished and looks as good as a real one!
