How To Draw Mickey Mouse Face

Creating a cartoon character masterpiece like Mickey Mouse is easier than you would think! With just a few steps and a basic understanding of design, anyone can draw the iconic face of the lovable Disney mouse.
To get started, gather some basic art supplies: a pencil, eraser, fine-tipped marker, and some paper. You can even use online drawing software for a digital take on your Mickey drawing!
The first step is simplest: sketching the face shape. All you need to do is draw a geometric triangle – this will be the base of Mickey’s face. Connect the two sides at the bottom to create a smooth wave shape. Now you have Mickey’s nose!
Next is the eyes. Mickey has two beady eyes with two large eyebrows over them. Visualize two half-circles and then draw them in. If it looks too round, erase until they become slightly oval shaped. Now draw two thin lines across to represent the eyebrows and remember to add two small dots in the middle for the pupils.
Third is Mickey’s ears. Create two pointed, heart-shaped ears on either side of the head. You can draw them as close to the eyes or further away, whichevers works better for your drawing.
Now for the fun part – drawing the unmistakable black circles on Mickey’s face! All you need to do is draw three perfect black circles. The third one goes just under the eyes and the other two – just under the ears. The top of the circles should align with the bottom part of the eyes and the ears, respectively.
Finally, add some finishing touches! Sketch in a thin line for the mouth and two dots for the cheeks. You can add in some textures for a more realistic look, like whiskers or a 5 o’clock shadow. The result? One cartoon-like masterpiece of the beloved Mickey Mouse!
To complete the look of your drawing add some colorful wardrobe choices. Mickey is easily recognizable in his iconic red pants and yellow shoes. But feel free to let your imagination run wild and don different styles of clothing. Change up Mickey’s shirt and accessories like hats, gloves and scarves.
Now you’re ready to go! Drawing Mickey Mouse’s face doesn’t take as much skill as you thought. All it takes is a little creativity, some determination and presto – you’ve created a cartoon character icon!
Have fun creating more Disney classics like, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. Add different moves and postures for additional cartoon-like effects. With the four basic facial shapes – circle, triangle, square and oval – you can create virtually any character imaginable.
Start with sketching simple shapes and practice outlining them, until you’ve gained the confidence to draw a more complex character. Put everything together from the lines, shapes and colors, you can have an intricately designed cartoons in no time.
Take your time and experiment with different ideas. Over time, your confidence in drawing Mickey Mouse and other characters will come easier and often in less time. Turn your pencil strokes into a unique masterpiece and show it off to your friends!
