Supplies and Preparation
Start by assembling all the materials and tools needed for drawing Sonic. Get a pencil, piece of paper, items for coloring-paper, sharpies, colored pencils, crayons and brush – your choice, and the most important thing – your talent! Then decide the size of your drawing. A normal drawing board will do just fine.
Outline of a Hedgehog
The first step is to bring the Hedgehog to life by tracing the outline on the paper. Begin by drawing the head which includes a circle at the top, oval eyes and a thin curve that shapes the neck and chin. Create a long thin oval for the body and draw multiply overlapping circles for quills. Follow up with two small circles for the paws and hands and couple of thin curves for the ears.
Adding Details
Now it’s time to give your Sonic his agility and charm by adding more definition to the frame. Start with the head and draw two curved lines beneath the eyes to give it distinctive shape.
