How To Draw The Nose Step By Step
Drawing a nose can be difficult, especially if you’ve never tried before! But with these easy-to-follow instructions, you’ll have the perfect nose drawn in no time!
As with any art form, drawing a nose begins with the basics – taking your time, paying attention to details and, most importantly, practice. Get your pencils ready and let’s get started!
Step 1: Outlining
First, we start out by sketching the outline of the nose. When viewing the face from the front, sketch a medium-sized oval that follows the natural shape of the nose. When you draw this oval, be sure to leave a bit of extra space at the bottom for the nostrils.
Step 2: Fleshing it Out
To give the nose a more realistic look, begin to add some extra definition by drawing lines that follow the nose’s shape and add some width to it. These lines should eventually lead up to the tip of the nose, and also to the sides of the nostrils.
Step 3: Shading
Once you have your lines in place, it’s time to begin adding some shadows and highlights to the nose to give it a more three-dimensional look. The shadows should follow the curves of the nose, while the highlights should be placed just above the bridge.
